Sorry, I don't know, but there is a "Backingstone Lane" in Bishopston. It's over near Pwll Du beach/valley - over by the houses known locally as "Chantry Acre" and "The Vineyards"

Backinstone was a very old looking farmhouse until some 25 years ago. There were some very thick walls remaining of some former glory only a few feet high but perhaps 3 ft thick. All gone I would think now. It has been extensivrly developed. I would love to have more info if you have any. Chris Evans |
